Starworks Is Born!

Re-launched in January 2010 by Rolex Series veteran Peter Baron, Starworks Motorsport's two-car Daytona Prototype team is set to be among the fastest growing teams in the Rolex Series this year. Starworks Motorsport's team owner, Peter Baron, brings with him a phenomenal background of savvy businessman, successful entrepreneur and 20 years of motorsports experience as driver, manager and winning team owner.

Since 2005, Peter Baron has enjoyed a rewarding relationship and managed some of the most recognized drivers on the planet including 4 former F1 drivers; Stefan Johansson, Allan Mc Nish, Olivier Beretta and Tomas Enge. Other international driver stars like Dario Franchitti, Ryan Hunter Reay, Patrick Carpentier, Mike Rockenfeller and Roger Yasukawa also drove for Baron's team. In 2007 Baron's team, Samax, participated in 6 races of the Indy Car series including the Indianapolis 500 with female driver, Milka Duno. Milka also drove for Baron's team in the Rolex Series and scored with her teammates a 2nd place finish in the 2006 Rolex 24 At Daytona, the best finish in a major sports car race for a female driver.

ROLEX 24 CHAMPION JOINS STARWORKS FOR 2010

Scotland's Ryan Dalziel has joined Starworks Motorsport for the rest of the 2010 season. Ryan started the season with a bang! He triumphed with his teammates in the opening round of the 2010 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, the 48th running of the Rolex 24 At Daytona. This is not the first time Dalziel and Baron work together. In 2008 Dalziel won a race for Baron's Dinan-BMW Daytona prototype team at Laguna Seca. Starting at Homestead, Ryan will drive the # 8 Starworks Motorsport Dinan-BMW Riley with Mike Forest. Dalziel is eager to show his true talent and win again with Starworks Motorsport in 2010. 

STARWORKS MOTORSPORT 2010 PROGRAM

Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Starworks Motorsport is entering two Dinan-BMW Riley Daytona Prototypes in the 2010 Rolex Series.

Starworks Motorsport team principal, Peter Baron, is the last team owner to have won a Rolex Series race with a car powered by a Dinan-BMW engine. Starworks has hired a strong driver's line-up for the 2010 season. 2010 Rolex 24 At Daytona champion, Ryan Dalziel, will co-drive the #8 with Rookie of the year contender, Mike Forest. Former NASCAR driver, Bill Lester, will co-drive the #7 with Ian James. Starworks Motorsport is co-sponsored by Corsa Car Care, Braman Motorcars, North American Electronic Display, Xtreme Indoor Karting, Dynacor Media and Creative Carrot Studios and Guarneros Racing Wear.
